Three people died in a Las Vegas main campus shooting on Wednesday, including a suspect, according to authorities. According to a post on X the police, claim they know of three victims and an unknown stretch of the injuries.
The authorities have not released any information on the victim’s identity or suspect. and it’s yet unclear whether the suspect committed suicide or was shot.
A professor at school Vincent Perez told MSNBC via phone ” I heard a lot of gunfire before taking cover at the campus, adding that he could tell it was about seven to eight gunshots and was loud, as soon as they heard that they ran inside and realized it was a real shooting and there is an active shooter inside the campus.
Law enforcement rushed to the scene after receiving a phone call about an active shooting and that’s where they got information that the suspect was deceased, campus police spokesperson Adam Garcia stated at the briefing, adding that there is no longer a threat to the community according to LV metropolitan department sheriff’s kevin Mcmahill, but the main campus and its branches were being closed for the day, out of a lot of warnings.
police officers searched through the building to make sure that there were no more victims according to the sheriff on briefing. Authorities posted on X earlier that there is a report of shots around Beam Hall, a campus building that boards school and other facilities. In a different post by campus, police claimed there were further reports of shots in the student union.
Las Vegas police updated the incident about half an hour after it happened, is was around noon. adding that the suspect was located and is dead. The campus is located less than two miles east of the LV strip,
